The app is very promising but I found a major bug : played with Shutter delay and totally lost audio.

I bought the DJay app. Now I just bought this DJAY Pro, thinking there will be a LOT MORE functions, effects etc. For me, the Spotify Adding is gréât, for sure, but I think you didn’t forget to put a high price on this… Upgrade. And then, to thank us to be « good » clients, we even need to pay the FX Pack for a.. REVERB….???? (ok not only that but, still). To sum up, adding of Spotify and few minor upgrades doesn’t justify a so high price; for a second opus. What next then, a DJay Pro2 with a blue or red background design for 40€?
The app works ok with mp3, but won’t do gapless playback unless your mp3 are perfectly trimmed.(Almost impossible) Spotify integration useless for professional purpose, needs to be online and won’t keep musics saved on machine only will dowload on demand from internet, but most DJ environments wont have reliable internet. Can’t play music in iTunes library added from Apple Music.
Let me be honest to you , the software is magnificent and dynamic Dj software ever built . Very clear and powerful sound quality, Let´s take it !!!
Got It!…been using Djay Software and Hardware ever since i started as Hobby DJ till now…well i must say i’m not that kind of Professional Dj but for me.,been satisfied what Algoriddim Creation and really appreciate what the staff been doin ever since….Thanks Guys for this new version…Well Done!
It’s impossible for me to restore my purchase. I bought the „FX Pack“ on my iPhone. I contacted the support and got several instructions. Nothing fixed my issue. Suddenly the developers stopped replaying my emails. I guess they’ve no clue. It wouldn’t be a big problem for me at all but I’d appreciate an answer what exactly the problem is/could be. What about the others? Does someone else have this problem???
Great program for hobby DJs
Really good tool and it makes fun. But as long as you need to have a running internet connection, it makes no sense with Spotify.
Nice upgrade to a great app. Four decks, new flexible UI, fun FX…lots to like here. Unfortunately there are fundamental problems with the tempo detection that make the sync feature not work very well. Its still impossible to adjust the precise alignment of the beatgrid, so if it guesses wrong, youre hosed (it insists on snapping to specific transients and theres no way to correct it when its wrong). But the biggest problem is the beatgrid is now fluid/adaptive, so even if you manage to get it aligned to the right beat, it tries to be intelligent and detect tempo changes, and ends up drifting off even when the BPM is completely steady through the whole track (which is true of 99% of all tracks). There doesnt seem to be any way to turn off this "intelligent" adaptive beatgrid, and honestly it just breaks the whole feature. Algoriddim works very hard and Im sure theyll sort this stuff out, so I still think its worth buying this while its on sale just to play with it and see whats new. But I wouldnt recommend using it for any gigs until they sort out the broken beatgrid/sync mess.
Algoriddim… Your apps are AWESOME! There no problem that i see currently. LOVE have 4 DECKS and the multiple layouts. SO WORTH IT!!!!
I’m just a casual user who likes to fiddle with my music and really love this product. Although I’ve not yet had the chance to really explore all the features, I’ve managed to create a fairly nice 1hr 45min set and was quite happy with the result. The interface is user friendly and I’m finding fairly easy to get what I’m looking for. The only minor issue I’ve come across thus far is that when trying to mix older music, live bands, there is a minor drifting problem when trying to sync, but I think that has more to do with the slight changes in tempo that these types of recordings have. Overall I’m happy with my purchase.
I have a laptop with a limited Hard Drive size, so my music is kept on a NAS drive. This works perfectly for iTunes, but DJayPro just throws up errow messages whenever I try to play something. It does work well with Spotify though, so it gains a couple of stars. I’ve been complaining about this bug since day 1 (in the DJayPro forum) and I’m not alone in experiencing it (and yes, I’m running the most up to date OS X, lots of RAM, etc). Your mileage with this app may differ! I will update this review if I ever get the app working with my music.
The application and user interface are fantastic like a real DJ mix station, and the integration with iTunes is a charm (nothing to do, it just works). The only problem is the beat match. Every 10 or 15 songs when I click on beat match, the next song comes up much too fast like if Donald Duck had some helium, then I have to slow everything down which ruins the whole mix. It is still my favorite mixing software, so what I do for now is mix with the split audio option (live audio in one ear, next up in the other ear), and correct the beat match before mixing it in. Would love to have just this bug fixed. The most important thing for me in a mix is the smooth transition created by a perfect beat match. Thats the whole point of the software for me. When you re-listen to you mix, the best mixes are the ones where the beat match is so perfect you cant tell it"s changing songs.
Its pretty cool, but it still doesn’t work very well with voice over. Also i think that there should be a 4 deck view that shows turn tables instead of just wave forms (like serato)
I suggest you save your money until after the developers add back in features that already exist in their consumer level version of this product. Would you want a supposedly professional package that doesn’t allow you to save playlists? It certainly fails to meet my needs and the developer is completely indifferent to fixing this flaw with anything other than lame excuses!
Decent app but do not buy if you’re expecting offline playlist mode from Spotify. It’s not supported.
This is now THE best applications I’ve ever purchased for my Mac… The iTunes integration is awesome, the Spotify integration is even better. Awesome job guys, keep it up. The latest update has completely blown my mind, was not expecting it at all and it just makes this whole application just that much better. -Will
Great application for The Mac Book Pro! Great for Dj”s and Dj amateurs! I love this application because you can iTunes library and spotify music! Great way to make music! Thank You Algoriddim for making this beautiful and useful application for my Mac Book Pro!
I am a professional DJ and have used several DJ software packages. DJ was one of the first ones I used on an iPad, iPhone and Mac. The cool thing about this software is that it very closely emulates what you used to do as an old-style dj. You have two records spinning, you change the pitch control to try to beat match as closely as possible, then listen to the headphones to try to keep the beats in time while you are mixing. DJay Pro is great for: -Auto-mixing (set up a play list, set up a max time per song and transition and let it go). -iTunes integration (although its only whatever youve got as a downloaded library that you can use. If its not local on your computer, you cant use it) -Spotify integration (you can play from millions of tracks available through Spotify, though some are not available in your country and you cant record when using this feature). -Working with MIDI controllers - you can program controllers to execute functions and it recognizes several popular ones already, so you dont even have to program them. It also can play through various sound cards built into external usb devices such as controllers or mixers. The latest version has made huge strides which place this very close to professional level but misses the mark on syncing beats (adjustments have to be made), beat-gridding and the new bars show how far into a tune you are, but the timers only show you either how long youve played and how long is left (as a toggle) but not the track length. There are also no minute markers which are useful. There is enough space to show all three pieces of information as it is important for some applications. The new layouts which show the wave-forms either vertically beside each other or horizontally make beat-matching visually easier. Adding a supported controller makes this experience even better. and the key is detected and displayed although most professional programs use the camelot wheel so you need to translate to see which songs go well with others. Pitch controls work well and have locks so you can speed up or slow down a track wihout changing its pitch. Many of the other features (including the auto-loop, que points and SFX are easy to use and fun). Samples are a bit lame, but can be applied with good effect at the right time. The built-in video feature is only reliable when used with an attached monitor. Using it with Apple TV or other Screen Casting software is not reliable. On the plus side, you can play videos without worrying about the audio or with the audio which gives you flexibility. Overall, this is an amazing update well worth the price of admission and I would recommend this software whole-heartedly to anybody. Well Done Algoriddim!
Until the Last Version Djay worked good. But now often crash at launch. It’s very slow even to load playlists. What a sin!
